I’m all about maximizing my clients wardrobes by mixing and matching their existing wardrobe to create multiple looks. One way to do this is to start out with an OUTFIT BASE and build upon this base to create multiple outfits. In this Style Series, I’m using clothes from my own closet to create 5 different outfits using a base (tank, jeans, belt, boots).
I hope this inspires you to look at your closet differently and start to mix + match those basics to create a week’s worth of outfits!
Silk Tank + Skinny Jeans + Belt + Tall Boots
For a more casual look, I added a simple button down and brown boots for warmth. Try a white button down or even a flannel shirt to switch up the look.
Building on the elements of Outfit 1, I added a long cardigan for extra warmth and style. Continue to leave the button down shirt open but play around with the buttons on the cardigan (button 1 or 2). Another option is button all the buttons on the cardigan and wear with leggings + tall boots.
I added a knit jacket for warmth and paired outfit with tall black boots for a effortless chic look.
To achieve a more classic look, add a scarf and wear it draped long to frame the jacket. Place the scarf under the jacket so it peaks out just right. The brown boots add warmth to this outfit. I love mixing black + brown together….the brown softens the look and can be a great compliment to an all black outfit.
In this outfit, I’m using the silk cami as a layering piece under a sweater. The over-the-knee boots add a long lean line to this outfit. Perfect for date night or a girl’s night out!
